Subtractive Parts Counting
This method of parts counting enables
you to count parts by removing a sample
number of pieces from a full container.
1. Place a full container of parts on the
load receiver.
2. Zero the indicator by pressing ZERO.
3. Remove a sample number of pieces
from the container.
4. Enter the number of pieces removed
using the numeric keypad,
then press PCSS.
The indicator will use the sample as
a reference for counting.
The sample may be as few as 1 or 2
pieces. If the sample weight is too
small to obtain accurate results, the
display will show the number of addi-
tional pieces to be removed to in-
crease the sample.
If this occurs, remove the required
number of pieces, re-enter the num-
ber of pieces using the numeric key-
pad,
then press PCSS.
The average piece weight remains in
memory until it is replaced or the
indicator is turned OFF.
3. When the sample is accepted, the
display will show the number of pieces
missing from the container and the
parts counting indicator (PC) will be
on.
Enter sample number of
pieces removed.
